With the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards (the local version of the Oscars) drawing closer I am excited to see what that amazing red carpet will showcase and who will wear what. The current trends which I have seen appear on red carpets this season are lots of lace, cut out dresses seem to be quite popular and pink, peach or as I like to call it Pinch seems to be making its way back for Summer.
In the past we have seen lots of amazing gowns from a wide range of international designers around the country such as Paolo Sebastian, Steven Kahlil, Alex Perry, J'aton, Armani and Gucci. But what also really excites me is to see what new designers have also come to play.
Now if you’re anything like me, the thought of actually walking the red carpet and getting up close with the latest fashion trends is pretty appealing and for the very first time, you can buy tickets to the AACTA’s to do just that! Head to lastminute.com.au to buy your AACTA Awards ticket now (it’s the perfect excuse to glam up).
But back to the fashion. I hate to choose favourites, but I would love to share with you my best dressed list:
One of the most memorable dress for me would have to be the Red Steven Kahlil dress that Jessica Mauboy wore in 2013, the simplicity statement of this dress blew me away.
Rachel Taylor blew me away in 2012 with the black Dion Lee Gown with Sheer panelling, this dress just took chic to a new level.
Gracie Otto was Goddess-like in a Gucci yellow gown very boho chic.
Miranda Kerr just looked immaculate in a silk Collette Dinnigan gown with drappery and details.
lastminute.com.au are also giving away a red carpet moment to this fabulous event where you can win 2 tickets, pre-event VIP drinks, an accommodation package for 2 at The Darling, The Star and after party tickets! So don't miss out, make sure you enter as this is a money can't buy VIP experience.
